Badel Hrvatska Stara Šljivovica 1L is crafted by Badel 1862 using Bistrica plums — an autochthonous variety cultivated in traditional Mediterranean orchards for over 300 years. After weeks of ripening in the Mediterranean sun, the Bistrica plum becomes dark purple, juicy and sweet, with the finest fruits selected and harvested at the end of summer when flavour and aroma are at their peak. The selected plums undergo a precise and unique fermentation and distillation process to capture their natural flavour and aroma. The spirit is then aged for a minimum of 12 months in large oak barrels, which provide subtle notes of vanilla and a slightly bitter bouquet, developing Šljivovica’s unique aromatic profile alongside its original supple and fruity taste. Badel Hrvatska Stara Šljivovica is a proud holder of Croatian quality and Kosher certificates, and has won numerous awards including the SIP Awards and Spirits Challenge.

History
