Focussing on wines from Margaret River and McLaren Vale that consistently score over 90 points with critics and having collected too many medals to detail, a number of the wines have been or are trophy winners. Most importantly, they've resonated with the wine-loving public around Australia and the world. As Bob Oatley said, 'they must be a darned good drink.' Today, the family business is led by Bob's eldest son Sandy Oatley, continuing the legacy of excellence and passion for creating wines of exceptional quality and character.

History

Robert Oatley Wines was founded as a family winery in 2006 by the late Robert (Bob) Oatley AO BEM, a visionary who left an indelible mark on the Australian wine industry. The family's winemaking heritage began much earlier, when Bob, together with his eldest son Sandy Oatley, brother, and sister, planted the first Oatley family vineyards in the late 1960s. This pioneering spirit and commitment to quality laid the foundation for what would become one of Australia's most respected wine producers. Today, the family business continues under the leadership of Sandy Oatley, who carries forward his father's philosophy that great wines should be approachable, enjoyable, and above all, 'a darned good drink.' The winery's focus on premium regions such as Margaret River and McLaren Vale, combined with meticulous vineyard management and winemaking expertise, has established Robert Oatley Wines as a benchmark for Australian wine excellence.
