Diamond Valley Vineyards is a distinguished family-owned Yarra Valley winery dedicated to handcrafting elegant and distinctive wines of the highest quality. The philosophy is refreshingly simple: grow the finest grapes possible—luscious, ripe, and with excellent varietal character—then handcraft them with meticulous care. Carefully selected sites provide warm growing conditions within a cool climate, whilst low grape yields, carefully managed canopies, and hand-tending ensure exceptional fruit quality. The modern on-site winery combines traditional methods with technical advancement, featuring inert gas protection at all stages of production and a high-quality bottling facility. The White Label wines express the terroir of the estate, with excellent sun exposure over consistently long, clear ripening periods producing deeply flavoured, marvellously complex wines with concentrated fruit, beautiful balance, and lingering full flavours. The Blue Label range, including this Chardonnay, is produced from selected parcels of premium Yarra Valley fruit, offering affordable, high-quality wines made to Diamond Valley's exacting standards. Under the ownership of Graeme Rathbone, with winemaker James Lance at the helm, the winery continues to enhance the founding philosophy with unwavering commitment to quality, consistency, and complexity.

Since its first release in 1982, Diamond Valley Vineyards has enjoyed outstanding success whilst remaining, through choice, one of Australia's smaller wineries. This deliberate focus on quality before quantity has proven transformative, with the wines amassing a tally of awards quite out of proportion to the winery's size. By steadfastly adhering to the founding philosophy, Diamond Valley has achieved consistent excellence across four decades. The estate's carefully selected vineyard sites benefit from warm growing conditions tempered by the Yarra Valley's cool climate, creating ideal parameters for growing the finest grapes. Hand-tending and hand-harvesting ensure that only fruit of superb quality reaches the winery. The Blue Label Pinot Noir has become widely acclaimed as one of Australia's best value-for-money Pinots, whilst the White Label range—including Chardonnay, Cabernets, Merlot, Shiraz, and the famous Pinot Noir—consistently delights with its concentration and complexity.
