Bollinger Le Grande Année Champagne 2015 features yellow gold reflections, demonstrating both the wine's maturity and Bollinger's expert vinification techniques. The initial aromas reveal small stone fruits, such as Pomme Gris, plum, and Mirabelle plum, complemented by a delicate hint of honey. These scents are followed by blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry, creating a delightful blend of red fruits with a touch of almond. As the wine opens up, exotic notes of mango and tertiary scents of vanilla and delicate wood emerge. On the palate, the wine is volumptuous, seductive, and reminiscent of Mirabelle plum jam. The texture is rich and luxurious, providing a truly indulgent tasting experience. The finish is a harmonious combination of chocolate and citrus fruits with a touch of acidity, enhanced by subtle tones of schist. This is a truly lavish wine!

Winery & Vintage Info
In 1911, Georges Bollinger’s British agent gave him the idea for the name Special Cuvée - “special” written the English way, without an accent. He thought the French expression “Brut sans année” was no match for such a subtle champagne… More than a hundred years later, the name of Bollinger’s key figure champagne still symbolises both its expertise and its history.
La Grande Année is the very embodiment of an exceptional, timeless champagne. Artisanal savoir-faire is at the heart of its production. One such artisanal technique is vinification, which takes place in oak barrels that are around 20 years old. This helps the wine develop complex aromas, and, thanks to micro-oxygenation, lends an extraordinary ageing potential.
