For the last 10 or so years 3 Fonteinen's Oude Geuze has been made up of lambic from their own brewery, as well as Lindemans, Boon and Garadin.

Funk and oak on the nose with a tight acidic and dry pallet, this is a classic gueuze from a classic brewer and blender.

3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is a true Geuze - a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year-old lambic, unfiltered and unpasteurised, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending. Re-fermentation in the bottle gives this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. The lambic that goes into it is brewed only with 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, aged hops, and water, spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks. Brewery Notes.

3 Fonteinen translates to three fountains, which refers to the original hand pumps that were used to serve three types of beer: lambic, faro, and kriek.
