Refund policy

Di Pietro Cellars Pty Ltd T/A Wine Sellers Direct (ABN: 83 005 523 053) Returns Policy covers the use of and purchases made at this site and includes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights, because your satisfaction is important to us.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Faulty, Damaged or Wrongly Described

If in the event your purchase is faulty, damaged, wrongly described or breaches a consumer guarantee we will refund your money or exchange the product upon presentation of your proof of purchase, once goods are returned, and evidence of the claim is received.

If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will cover the cost of delivery for the return if Wine Sellers Direct is at fault. That is, if the wrong product is delivered, there is a fault with the product (including any damage caused in transit) or Wine Sellers Direct has breached a consumer guarantee.

In all other circumstances, the delivery costs associated with the purchase will be deducted from any refund or store credit issued.

Change of Mind Return

Please choose your items carefully as there is a restocking fee of 30% for Change of Mind Returns for store credit or refunds. We may offer a lower restocking fee if the order has not been processed or despatched. This is at managements sole discretion. Change Of Mind Returns are only accepted if returned to us within 30 days from date of original delivery.

Clearance Items

Items marked clearance cannot be returned.

Redirections

Redirections or change of shipping address may be available once your goods have been despatched subject to the carrier. If additional charges apply they are the responsibility of the purchaser. Requesting redirection or change of shipping address may result in additional delivery times and/or delays. Ownership transfers from Wine Sellers Direct to the purchaser in this event.

Proof of purchase must be provided to obtain an exchange, and the product must be in a saleable condition within 30 days from the original delivery date.

Damaged Goods

If goods attempt to be delivered that are damaged we ask you not to accept the delivery, and contact us immediately. If the goods were left unattended and damaged please contact us within 24 hours of goods been delivered, and ensure you document and provide evidence to assist with any claim. You must provide images of all contents related to the claim, including but not limited to exterior packaging, interior packaging, and enclosed paperwork at the time of any claim.

Saleable condition is defined as:

  • Within its use-by or best before date.
  • Packaging is not damaged and in original condition.
  • Sealed/Unopened
  • No heat damage (beer, red wine etc).

If visiting store locations is not convenient for you, or there is not a store close to you, then please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible on 03 9438 1249 to discuss the available options. In the event that your product must be returned to our dispatch centre and Wine Sellers Direct is at fault we will cover the freight costs involved in this process, if however the reason for return is Change Of Mind, or customer requested, we may choose to apply a restocking fee, or deduct the cost of the freight costs and other associated fees incurred by Wine Sellers Direct at the time of processing a refund or store credit. 

Please allow 3-5 business days for your refund to be processed after the product has been received by Wine Sellers Direct. Re-stocking fees may apply in addition to the cost recovery of freight, and are at the discretion of management and will be discussed with you prior to authorising the return of any goods and completing any refund or return.

By purchasing from Wine Sellers Direct you agree that you cannot change or cancel an order after it has been placed. If you wish to change or cancel your order please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible to discuss the options available. 

Every attempt will be made to accommodate your request to change or cancel an order after you completed the purchase. However no guarantees are offered once an order has been placed.
