The Phoenix Gold Lager was the first lager ever brewed by Canada's Phillips Brewing. They struck gold with their first batch and have not altered the recipe since. Meticulously brewed with house malted barley and northwest hops, phoenix gold lager is a crisp, clean and craft. Pouring a rich, golden colour with a creamy white head. Crisp lager esters and medium bodied, this beer finishes clean and dry with a subtle bready malt character. Classics never die.

Phillips Brewery, located in Victoria, Canada started in 2001, when Head Brewer Matt Phillips decided it was time to make beer of his own. In the conservative beer climate of 2001 the brewery launched with an Espresso Stout, a Raspberry Wheat Ale, and a boldy-hopped IPA. Since then they have launched a soda company, a distillery, and most recently a malting facility–the only one of its kind in Canada.
