Aromas of poached pear, rustic fruit tart, Cognac and marron glacé is found on the nose of the Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whiskey. The palate has a smooth mouthfeel with multi-layered flavors of poached pear, orange marmalade, raspberry jam, spiciness of rye, and bitter chocolate. Water brings out red berries and a delicate spiciness reminiscent of rye bread and cinnamon. The finish is mellow with gentle sweetness and pleasant spiciness, smooth and moderately long aftertaste with a hint of exotic incense.
