Lanson Champagne Pere et Fils Brut NV 750mL
Lanson Champagne Cuvée Père et Fils Brut reviews:
"Pale straw yellow hue. Attractively toasty, brioche-like bouquet, with aromas of parsnip, root-vegetables, dried flowers and dried herbs. The wine has body and complexity, and dryness without austerity. It's smoothly articulated and beautifully balanced. (Hervé Dantan is using a small percentage of malolactic these days in both Black Label and this wine. This wine is mainly on-premise and has an extra year of age over Black Label."
92 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
"I have always admired the way Black Label blossoms with cellar age post-disgorgement, and Père et Fils is a celebration of its endurance. It upholds bright, crunchy lemon zest and red apple fruit amidst the rising toast, biscuits, roast nuts and spice of maturity. The 2012 base presents a freshness that belies its age, even paler in hue and more elegant in style than the 2013 base Black Label, radiating with bright, focused lemon and tangelo, sustained by scintillating malic acidity. The harrowing 2011 season marks its release with subtle underripe, grassy notes and hints of coffee- bean dryness and phenolic bitterness. Nonetheless, it’s a pretty good result for the season and the price."

Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne Houses, founded back in 1760. Lanson’s unique style haven’t changed, most famously that the wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation to guarantee a fresh, age-worthy style that stands out from other champagne houses.
Lanson Champagne Pere et Fils Brut is rich and structured with rounded finesse and layers of complexity. It has a vibrant golden hue with fine persistent bead. Aromas of ripe fruits, honey and spice. The palate is complex with a lingering finish of honeydew characters.
