Zema Estate Shiraz 2014 (Coonawarra)
Tasting Notes
The Zema Estate Shiraz 2014 vintage has aromas of cedar and spice overlaid with vanilla and coconut. Rich and elegant with trademark Coonawarra varietal characteristics of chocolate, pepper and cherry-plum sweetness. Fine tannins and well-balanced vanillin oak ensure a lingering finish. Medium bodied with excellent structure, the Estate Shiraz will repay cellaring for at least ten years.
"Estate-grown, one of only a few to hand-prune in Coonawarra, with meticulous canopy management, matured in American and French oak for 14 months. Good colour; this medium to full-bodied wine paints a picture of Coonawarra in rude good health, not a deceptive note anywhere in its body. Blackberry and blood plum are build on foundations of polished tannins and an echo of oak. Demands respect for its traditional estate winemaking. Drink by 2034."
