The 2017 vintage releases from The Standish Wine Company are a reflection of an excellent growing season, with above-average Winter and Spring rainfall and a long, slow ripening period which produced perfect fruit.
Dan Standish is the master of making gorgeously textured wines, unmistakably Barossan with plenty of power yet lithe and supple. These luscious Shiraz’s reveal refined, multi-layered wines with graceful tannins all reflecting the soil they were grown in. Barrel de-classification took a leading role for these creations, bottling less than one-third of production.
