Bethany 'First Village' Shiraz 2020 (Barossa Valley)

The village of Bethany was the first settlement in the Barossa Valley in 1842. Predominately European immigrants arrived and began to build houses and till the soil. It was in 1852 that the first vines were planted on the Schrapel Family Vineyards in Bethany igniting a passion and tradition that continues on today, six generations later.

The 2020 Bethany First Village Shiraz is a dark purple with crimson highlights.An elegant and intense nose of dark fruits, spiced berries and hints of orchard floral notes. A full bodied and intense palate with real drive and structure. The dark fruits fill and cover the elegant core of fine grained tannins adding complexity and length. Subtle cinnamon oak combines with the bright aromatics to provide lingering flavour.
