Joseph Drouhin Morgon Beaujolais 2020
The Joseph Drouhin Morgon Beaujolais 2020 is a very attractive vintage which offers wines with deep and intense colours. Both the nose and mouth develop aromas reminiscent of black fruits such as blackberry, cherry, deliciously mingling with liquorice and spices. The wines show some richness and density giving a few years' ageing capacity to some appellations.
"Good structure, recalling the profile of some of the great wines of the Côte d'Or. Deep garnet colour; powerful aromas of cherry and will berries. Fleshy on the palate. A lot of character." - Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Maison Joseph Drouhin has always had a special affinity for Beaujolais which is part of “Greater Burgundy”, since their pioneering work in the early fifties, has tirelessly promoted it around the world. Out of the 35,000 hectares of gamay planted throughout the world, 22,000 hectares are in the Beaujolais area, spread over 38 villages.
The Joseph Drouhin Morgon Beaujolais 2020 is made in the heart of Beaujolais, between Régnié and Chiroubles. The term "morgon" means "decayed soil" as it’s made up of broken up schist and thin sheets of mica, giving the wine its character and longevity.
