Bremerton Langhorne Creek Tamblyn 2018
Peppermint nougat, black fruit, raspberry frogs. Medium-bodied, comely style, rich but balanced, plenty of sexy oak, but ample satisfaction, good finish. Classic Aussie brew."
2017 Vintage - 92 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, May 2020, Drink: 2020 - 2025
The family name ‘Tamblyn’ is in recognition of their grandmother’s ancestors who migrated to Australia from Cornwall, England.
The Tamblyn blend expresses the characteristics of the different varietals providing a complex flavour profile with a soft tannin finish; Cabernet Sauvignon provides the framework, Shiraz adds berry fruit weight, Malbec adds a perfumed lift and intense colour and the Merlot rounds out the palate.
The fruit for the 2018 vintage Tamblyn were individually fermented in open top fermenters which allowed for optimal extraction of colour and flavour. The wine was matured in a combination of new and old French and American barrels for 18months before blending and bottling. Vegan Friendly
