Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2018
More forward than the Estate range, the Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2018 has a dark berry nose with a black cherries and plum on the palate.
The wine sees about 20% whole bunches in the ferment to give spice and fine tannins. Spends about 20 days on skins and is bottled without fining or filtration. Winery Notes
Reviews & Accolades
"Mainly Upper Yarra Pinot Noir, with a bit from Kangaroo Ground.
Raspberry, spice, a lovely gently herbal and floral perfume. Medium-bodied, orange peel and amaro flavours in with firm silty tannin, tang and depth to the fruit, and a particularly firm and long finish that shows a rare stamp of class at this price point. Whether you prefer the Gippsland or the Yarra is largely a matter of taste: it’s well worth having both in your weekday wine armoury, regardless."
