La Boheme Interlude Pinot Noir 2019 (De Bortoli, Yarra Valley)
Vibrant red colour. Deeply scented red and dark fruits, wood spice and violets. Ripe, pure, generous, perfumed and textural. – winery notes
The La Boheme range from DeBortoli is a classic bistro wine – ethereal, aromatic, textural, sophisticated and so easy to pair with food. They’re wines with poise and charm and to enjoy with friends over a few plates of tapas. The La Boheme Interlude Pinot Noir 2019 is testament to this philosophy.
In the making of the La Boheme Interlude Pinot Noir 2019 ,a combination of whole berry and whole bunch is tipped into open fermenters. 10-15 days of maceration and fermentation. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to barrel by gravity. Allowed to mature for 8 months at 16°C in 225L and 500L French oak casks. It was early season but cracking year for Pinot in the Yarra Valley with low ripening, terrific flavour development, highly perfumed vintage.
