De Bortoli Villages Pinot Noir 2019 (Yarra Valley)
Tasting Notes
The 2019 Villages Pinot Noir from De Bortoli family wines has a vibrant red colour. Its a youthful but complex aromatic Pinot Noir, with red fruits, smoke and earth. The palate is textural, and plump, with red and dark fruits, some whole bunch influence, and a fine tannin, and silky flavours.
The 2019 Villages Pinot Noir fruit is from De Bortoli's three estates in the Yarra Valley, as well as fruit from several vineyards in Coldstream, Paul's Creek, Tarrawarra and Beenak. Hand harvested, combination of whole berry with 15-25% whole bunch is tipped into both open top and small static fermenters. 10-15 days of maceration and fermentation. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to French casks by gravity.
De Bortoli's Villages Pinot Noir 2019 vintage is a vegetarian & vegan friendly wine.
