The De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 Durif 2016 is an intense red with purple hues.
Fragrant aroma of ripe plum, rhubarb with a background of dark chocolate and spice.
Dense and full-bodied, this wine is bursting with flavours of plum, blueberry and hints of liquorice. All underpinned by well integrated milk chocolate oak.

With regular vineyard visits, the fruit was picked once rich flavours and ripe tannins had developed. The fruit was cold soaked and co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier. The wine was then pressed and settled. A portion was stored in stainless tank to retain lively fruit freshness and the remainder matured in a combination of new and used American oak barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling.
This wine is ready to enjoy now or with good cellaring, it will continue evolving over the next 5-8 years.
