A richly flavoured Shiraz with savoury depth and firm structure, it is equally appealing for a special dinner or further time in the cellar.

The 2021 vintage shows a distinctly savoury side, with dark and red berry fruit, earthy spice and a fleshy, textured palate. Firm tannins give the wine shape and persistence, while balanced acidity keeps the generous Barossa fruit in check. It is a serious, food-friendly expression of Basket Press with plenty of character.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep red with youthful purple tones.

Nose: Red and dark berries, savoury spice and earthy complexity.

Palate: Generous fruit, fleshy texture, savoury depth and firm, structured tannins.

Finish: Persistent and savoury, with lingering fruit and tannic grip.

Food Pairing

Beautiful alongside roast lamb, slow-cooked beef, grilled mushrooms or mature hard cheeses.
