Narkoojee Gippsland Lily Grace Chardonnay 2021

The Lily Grace Chardonnay fruit is from selected estate plantings and is named after Harry and Val Friend’s first grandchild, Lily Grace Friend.

The 2021 vintage at Narkoojee has produced fruit of exceptional quality which was fermented using wild yeasts, indigenous to our vineyard. The wine has been matured in older French oak barriques, with a small portion new, to introduce a note of subtle complexity to the varietal fruit. This is a beautifully balanced wine with a lovely creamy texture, natural mineral acidity and is an ideal accompaniment to seafood. It will develop further in the bottle over the next five years.

Narkoojee Gippsland Lily Grace Chardonnay 2021 vintage has a brilliant, pale straw-green hue. White stone fruit with cucumber and a touch of honey suckle and integrated French oak aromas. White stone fruit and grapefruit with a touch of yoghurt, almond kernel and spicy French oak on the palate. Beautifully balanced with a creamy texture, a long, taut finish and natural mineral acidity.
