The 2024 growing season delivered lower-than-average rainfall in Heathcote, resulting in lower yields and strong concentration of flavour. Fruit was carefully destemmed and fermented at 25–30°C over 7–8 days before being pressed and racked. The wine was then matured for 12 months in a selection of new and older hogshead barrels, building complexity and allowing the oak to integrate with the generous dark fruit palate.
