Mike Press Shiraz 2016 (Adelaide Hills)
Mike Press Shiraz 2016 is loaded with intense fruit flavours, it is drinking well now but will age gracefully for years to come.
"This is the kind of vintage I admire at Mike Press, calm, intriguing and characterful. It's spicy, peppery, black-fruited, violet-fragranced and full of the personality of this high altitude vineyard, captured by now 19 year old vines. Caramel and milk chocolate oak pokes out on release, as it always does, but just a few hours of air is all it takes to subside as the fruit emerges. There is presence and body to this vintage, yet it carries its cool climate credentials confidently, with fine-boned , beautifully textured tannins and a long, elegant, pepper-accented finish. Patience."
