The Bullant label by Lake Breeze is a great range of approachable, drink-now wines using fruit from the family vineyard.

The playful label was inspired by the bullants which are known to harass vineyard workers.

As is the case with the Lake Breeze wines, the Bullant range over-delivers, possessing vibrant fruit flavours with palate richness and offer great value.

The Lake Breeze Bullant Shiraz 2017 vintage is a ripe, full bodied wine which has benefited from 15 months oak maturation. It shows an aroma reminiscent of plums and chocolate with a touch of earthy complexity. The palate is rich and full of black-fruits and has a long soft finish.

A wine which could partner a cheese plate equally as well as a rare fillet steak. It is drinking well now but will age gracefully over the next 5 years.

Winery & Vintage Info

Langhorne Creek is renowned for its full bodied red wines, the grapes have an intense quality due to the location and unique natural influences. Cool afternoon breezes from Lake Alexandrina help to create a surprisingly cool climate, which allows for a longer, more even ripening period. This is coupled with deep, rich alluvial soil, which is deposited by the unique annual flooding of the Bremer River.

While you’re enjoying this wine, spare a thought for our vineyard workers who once danced amongst the vines avoiding the menacing bull ants who resided there. Winery Notes
