Granite Hills Shiraz 2013 - Macedon Ranges
From the first vintage in 1978, our Shiraz sets a benchmark for peppery Shiraz, renowned for its definitive flavour, balance, structure and ability to age gracefully in the bottle, given careful cellaring.
The palate is rich, mouth filling, well balanced and complete. It finishes long, with a final grip of fine tannins and persistent spicy fruit flavours.
SOLD OUT - Granite Hills 2014 vintage Shiraz is now available here.
Perched atop the spectacular boulder strewn hills of the Great Dividing Range at an altitude 550 meters, the view over Granite Hills vineyard and of central Victoria beyond, immediately gives you the impression of something quite special.
Trail blazers of viticulture and winemaking in what is statistically Australia’s coolest wine region, Granite Hills has celebrated success way beyond its size, winning more than 500 awards in Australian and International competitions.
Made from handpicked grapes harvested 3rd April 2013, grown on low cropped 40 year old shiraz vines, utilising small batch fermentation techniques including hand plunging, followed by maturation in french and american oak hogsheads.
