Hentley Farm Shiraz 2020 (Barossa Valley)
Blackberry and liquorice lead the way with dark chocolate and cigar box hiding in the background of the 2020 vintage release of the Hentley Farm Shiraz. With layers of rich fruit loaded on the front of the palate followed by chocolate and vanilla in the middle. Great tannin structure throughout and the persistence you would expect from the Hentley Farm estate.

Hentley Farm specialise in producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines solely from the vines grown on their Seppeltsfield property.
The Hentley Farm Shiraz is "The Beast’s" little brother... Sourced exclusively from the Hentley Farm estate on the banks of Greenock creek at Seppeltsfield, this wine is a blend of 12 blocks from within our vineyard, all with variances in top soil depth, subsoil type, row orientation, clonal selection and micro-climate. The top soil is predominantly a red clay loam, and the subsoil varies from shattered limesone to salt & pepper siltsone and bluestone at depth. All vines are grown on their own roots.
The fruit for the Hentley Farm Shiraz 2020 vintage was de-stemmed prior to fermentation, during which 2-3 pump overs a day were used to ensure that each wine achieved a full tannin structure. Time on skins ranged from 7-60 days before pressing and settling. The wine completed secondary fermentation in new (10%) & old (90%) French and American oak barrels, before blending in October, a total maturation period of 10 months. No fining or filtration was used in the production of this wine. Winery Notes
