Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin 2019 is here...

Every year since inception Nillumbik Cellars AKA 'Wine Sellers Direct' has hosted Cameron Mackenzie for the launch of Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin. This year is without exception as we look forward to our next 'Behind The Bar' on Friday May 31st 5:30pm - 7:30pm with free tastings and drink specials.

Mackenzie, the brainchild of this wickedly exciting mix pondered 'What would happen if we steeped shiraz grapes in our Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin?'

The result... a resounding success with the initial 2015 release using just 250 kilos of fruit. This year, 2019, has used 10 tonnes, and is no longer solely sourced from Yarra Valley. Cameron has sourced fruit from Yea Valley, and Macedon, both cool climates and there was multiple harvests. The first harvest provides the spice characters which have been enhanced in this years release, with secondary harvest providing the brooding hues and sweet notes that round out this gin to be an absolute palate party.

Often crowned as the 'Gin for non-gin drinkers' and for getting those weary of gin in to this new-age-gin world of delight. It is worthy of a sample straight, however adding a wheel of orange to it and some ice is just delicious, Mackenzie suggests the ultimate way to enjoy this gin is with a a wedge of Blood Orange, and a lemon tonic.

So simple...
